Accident at 4nm Lambton Airport

Summary

1997-09-12: On arrival to the airport, the aircraft suffered a micro-burst. The pilot gave full power but the aircraft continued to decend. To miss the trees in its trajectory, the pilot crash landed in a field. Front wheel was torn out and the propeller twisted. No injuries. The pilot reported clear skys and winds of 290/M at 20 KTS.
