Accident at Williams Lake Water


1997-08-19: The pilot attempted a landing in poor weather conditions at the Williams Lake water aerodrome. He mistakenly landed on the wrong side of the causeway separating the landing area from a nature preserve. He tried to take off again but was unable to clear the causeway. The aircraft flipped on its back and ended up upside down on the other side of the causeway in the water. The pilot was rescued and taken to hospital with minor injuries.
