Incident at Toronto, Ontario


1998-02-10: Shortly after departure from Toronto, the pilot reported flap problems. Initially, the pilot requested clearance to Mirabel, but then shortly thereafter requested a return to Toronto; however, fuel dump would be required. Aircraft commenced fuel dump at 0114Z in the designated area. Initial dump westbound at 11,000', then eastbound at 14,000. The dump terminated at 0137Z. Aircraft assigned runway 33 and landed without incident at 0200Z. Ops.
