Incident at North Bay, ON
Summary
1997-11-21: North Bay tower received a report from a passenger on ONT275. The passenger reported that he heard a TCAS alert when the aircraft was eight minutes from landing. The passenger was in seat 11C and reported that he heard the command to "pull up" which was followed by the aircraft climbing rapidly. No reports were received from the pilots. No traffic conflictions were observed on the tower ramp DSE. Preliminary investigation determined the warning was from the GPWS and not the TCAS. Ops. Impact -- none.
