Incident at Sudbury, ON
Summary
1997-11-18: KAL025 was approximately 20 nm NW of Sudbury when the pilot delcared a medical emergency and requested return to JFK. AT 1822Z, KAL025 requested diversion to YYZ. KAL025 dumped fuel while in descent without advising ATC. Other aircraft observed fuel trail and avoided same. Fuel dump continued into downwind and KAL025 turned final and landed at 1857Z. Several comments were made by other pilots. Ops. Impact -- minimal.
