Incident at Sault Ste. Marie


1997-10-10: N6551V, BE33 Bonanza, Private C-GMRW was on a simulated LOC BC approach for runway 29. Pilot reported a single-engine aircraft cut across their flight path southbound, at their altitude. Aircraft observed to follow river. Toronto Centre was queried and responded in the negative; then determined N6551V was an IFR flight, heading for Michigan. The incident occurred approximately four nm south of the airport. Ops. Impact -- unknown.
