Summary
1997-10-08: On landing on runway 24R, the aircraft suffered compressor stalls and flames were observed. A 1D was initiated, and when the pilot was informed of the flames, he elected to evacuate. Four tires had blown as well. Ops. Impact -- runway 24R was closed. Operation switched to landing 06R, departing 33.
