Incident at Peterborough vicinity, ONT (ATS operating irregularity)
Summary
1997-09-04: C-GPZJ, Cessna 182, Private C-FSUN was on an approach at Peterborough Airport with overshoot instructions of direct Oshawa, maintaining 4,000'. The simcoe controller saw C-FSUN at 4,000' and assumed the aircraft had overshot, when in fact it was outbound. Clearance for C-GPZJ to depart Lindsay was given, direct stirling at 5,000'. The stirling controller, noting the problem, told C-FSUN to turn right and climb to 6,000'. Ops. Impact -- none.
