Incident at 5 miles East of Carleton Place, Ontario (Incursion - runway - animal)
Summary
1997-07-10: During the takeoff roll, approaching rotation speed, a deer crossed the path of the aircraft. The pilot steered the aircraft off the runway to avoid collision with the animal. The aircraft rolled into soft mud and the propeller and right wing tip were damaged. From a TSB Initial Notification.
