Summary

1997-03-06: Enroute, the crew shut down the left engine, after an indication of a loss of oil pressure. The weather at Sault Ste. Marie was not favourable for a landing, and the aircraft continued to Toronto, and landed uneventfully with ERS standing by. Maintenance reported that on the propeller governor sense line, the sleeve underneat the "B" nut failed, resulting in the loss of oil pressure and oil quantity. Safety Deficiency Report issued by operator. From a TSB Initial Notification.
