Accident at Lakeland Linder Airport, Florida


1996-05-08: The aircraft was on a local flight. At 200 feet (about three (3) miles from the airport), the aircraft went into a turn and descended to the ground into a construction site. No fire. Cause unknown. Damage -- substantial (aircraft apparently destroyed). One (1) S.O.B. -- Canadian pilot, fatally injured. U.S. N.T.S.B. and F.A.A. are investigating at the site. T.S.B. (Ontario Region) advised and co-ordinating with U.S. agencies.
