Summary

1996-03-22: DURING THE APPROACH TO TORONTO (LBPIA) FROM PARIS (ORLY) AIRPORT, A TCAS WARNING OCCURRED. THE AIRCRAFT CLIMBED FROM 4,000 FEET TO 5,000 FEET. A PILOT IN THE JUMP SEAT CLAIMED THAT THE AIRCRAFT CAME WITHIN 200 FEET OF VFR TRAFFIC. THE VFR TRAFFIC HAD REPORTED LEVEL AT 3,500 FEET. CDN055 WAS APPROXIMATELY 24 MILES FINAL AT THE TIME OF THE OCCURRENCE. OPS. IMPACT -- NONE.
