Incident at Thompson

Summary

1996-01-18: The pilot was enroute Pikwitonei from Thompson in a wheel equipped C310. While in the circuit at Pikwitonei the pilot noticed that the gear down indicator was faulty and elected to return to Thompson where a fly by the tower was conducted. The gear appeared normal from ground observation so the pilot after requesting CFR landed safely. Maintenance discovered that the gear fault was due to a broken ground wire.Air1: C-GKCEAir2: C310Air3: Province of ManitobaOccurrence: Aircraft IncidentClass: FFCategory: 213 290
