Incident at Pikangikum ONT


1997-10-31: The pilot of the Cessna 185F seaplane was landing at Pikangikum, Ontario after a charter flight from Stormer Lake, Ontario. On final approach the aircraft reportedly affected by a downdraft and descended and struck an unmarked power cable. The pilot continued the approach and landed without further incident. The pilot and the two passengers were not injured. The aircraft sustained minor damage to the propeller, the spinner and the leading edge of the right wing. The damage was repaired and the aircraft was returned to service.
