Accident at Pickle Lake, ON
Summary
1997-10-28: The pilot and only occupant began his take off run on runway 27 at Pickle Lake, Ontario. The routine freight flight to Muskrat Dam was being conducted under VFR conditions. As the tail of the twin engine wheel equipped Beech 18 Expeditor began to rise a loss of directional control occurred. The pilot reduced power on the right engine which caused the aircraft to swing right and ground loop to the north side of the runway. Damage was restricted to the tailwheel assembly, vertical stabilizer, rudder and associated bulkheads. The pilot accept for his pride was uninjured.
