Summary
1997-09-15: The pilot landed the Cessna 177 aircraft in an unprepared alfalfa field to pick up a passenger. After a short flight, he returned and landed in the field to pick up another passenger. This time, however, the aircraft failed to clear a fence at the end of the field and crashed.
