Incident at THUNDER BAY ON (CYQT)

Summary

1997-09-05: A Kelowna Flightcraft Convair 340/580 aircraft was on a charter flight between Kelowna, British Columbia, and Thunder Bay, Ontario. The crew retarded the throttle for the approach to Thunder Bay and when they advanced the throttles for manoeuvring, the left engine produced a lower-than-selected power output. The engine was not shut down. The crew advised the Thunder Bay air traffic control that they had a problem with their left engine, but ERS was not required. The aircraft landed without further incident. Company maintenance personnel changed the fuel control for the left engine and the aircraft was returned to service.
