Accident at Minnedosa, MAN

Summary

1997-08-28: The Ayres S-2R-600 Thrush was departing a privately operated strip at Minnedosa, Manitoba, on an aerial application flight. As the aircraft neared the end of the strip, difficulty was encountered becoming airborne. The pilot dumped the load of agricultural chemical, and the aircraft ran off of the end of the runway, coming to rest in a field. The pilot suffered only minor injuries, however the aircraft was substantially damaged.
