Accident at Brereton Lake, MB

Summary

1997-08-21: The aircraft was on a pleasure flight from St. Andrews, Manitoba. The pilot was conducting a glassy water approach and, nearing the end the available landing area, reduced power to idle. The aircraft landed hard, and as it was settling into the water, struck submerged rocks and a tree on the lake shore. The aircraft sustained damage to the floats and the wing. The pilot and passenger were not injured.
