Accident at Onion Lake, ONT
Summary
1997-08-05: The Thunder Bay Ontario Provincial Police reported an aircraft on Onion Lake, Ontario, approximately 20 miles north of Thunder Bay. A witness observed the aircraft gliding into Onion Lake, with the engine off. The OPP stated that the float-equipped Piper PA-11 aircraft crashed on the lake, with only the pilot on board. The pilot received minor injuries. Extent of aircraft damage is unknown.
