Incident at Vicinity of Swift Current, SASK


1997-08-01: Canadian Airlines flight 989, and Airbus A320-211 aircraft, was passing by Swift Current, enroute from Toronto to Vancouver, when the Customer Service Director (in-charge flight attendant) reported suffering chest pains. He was examined on board the aircraft by a doctor, who recommended prompt medical attention. The crew diverted the flight to Calgary, where the aircraft landed without further incident. The Customer Service Director was taken to hospital.
