Accident at Points North Landing, SASK

Summary

1997-08-01: The pilot was taxiing the aircraft south in a strong crosswind from the right. He added power and began a right turn into wind when the aircraft tipped over to come to rest in an inverted position approximately 200 feet from the shore. The pilot and his one passenger escaped without injury through the pilot's main door and onto the wing. The passenger was a non-swimmer, and although life vests were available and stowed in the backs of the seats, neither the pilot nor the passenger took one during the escape.
