Incident at 40 E Yorkton, Sask

Summary

1997-05-09: Canadian Airlines flight 900, an Airbus A320 aircraft, was en route from Calgary to Montreal (Dorval) at flight level 370. When the aircraft was approximately 40 miles east of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, the crew got an open door indication. The pilot requested an immediate descent to 10 thousand feet and to proceed direct to Winnipeg. The pilot indicated that he was not declaring an emergency and did not require assistance on landing at Winnipeg. The aircraft landed without further incident at Winnipeg at 1857Z.
