Incident at Thompson, Manitoba

Summary

1997-04-11: On June 29 at 1753Z, the pilot and only occupant of a Piper PA25 Pawnee departed Churchill enroute to Gillam. Approximately 15 minutes into the flight a partial loss of power occurred. The pilot advised Churchill FSS of his problem, requested ERS and returned and landed safely at Churchill. The power loss was caused by an exhaust stud which had backed out. Maintenance rectified the problem and the pilot departed without further incident.
