Incident at Ear Falls, Ontario


1997-03-06: The pilot of a float-equipped Cessna 185 aircraft called MAYDAY on frequency 122.8 due to a loss of control of the ailerons. Red Lake FSS arranged police, ambulance and boats to be at Ear Falls, Ontario for the arrival of the aircraft, where a landing attempt was to be made. Another aircraft in the vicinity, a Beech 18, followed the aircraft to Ear Falls. The Cessna 185 landed without further incident. The Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
