Incident at Lynn Lake, Manitoba


1997-02-13: The pilot of a Piper PA-32 aircraft inbound to Lynn Lake airport reported final for runway 35, then advised that the landing gear would not extend. The aircraft continued in a circuit pattern while the pilot attempted to lower the gear. CFR was placed on standby. After a low pass for a visual inspection, the nose gear did not appear fully extended. The pilot manually extended the nose landing gear and the aircraft landed without further incident at 2315Z. The aircraft remains parked on the ramp while the pilot and passengers are bear hunting.
