Incident at WINNIPEG / ST. ANDREWS MB (CYAV)

Summary

1997-02-12: Sowind Air flight 303, a Piper PA-31 Navajo aircraft, landed on runway 31 at St. Andrews. The tower controller noticed smoke coming from the left engine on roll-out after landing, and advised the pilot. The pilot shut the engine down and the problem was investigated. The pilot later reported to the tower that the problem was related to an internal turbo-charger.
