Incident at WINNIPEG / JAMES ARMSTRONG RICHARDSON INTL MB (CYWG)
Summary
1996-10-29: The Boeing 737 aircraft was in descent for landing when the pilots found that they were unable to set the speed brakes. Three or four attempts were made and eventually the pilots were able to set the speed brakes successfully. The aircraft landed without further incident. Maintenance personnel indicated that a failed or seized bearing in the speed brake system was likely the cause of the occurrence.
