Incident at SASKATOON / JOHN G. DIEFENBAKER INTL SK (CYXE)
Summary
1996-10-22: On May 9, 1994 at 1615Z Air BC 975 (DH8) diverted to Saskatoon because of an engine failure. The diversion occurred while the aircraft was enroute Edmonton Municipal Airport from Regina. There were 3 crew and 5 passengers on board, Emergency Response Service was advised and the aircraft landed without further incident on runway 090. Initial inspection of the engine by Company maintenance personnel revealed metal in the oil. A bearing failure is suspected.
