Accident at 40 W Little Grand Rapids, Manitoba


1996-05-16: The pilot of a Piper PA-28-140 aircraft, registration C-GQPI, declared a MAYDAY due to a loss of power at 1935Z, while flying in the vicinity of 40 miles west of Little Grand Rapids, Manitoba. The aircraft conducted a forced landing in a swampy area, causing substantial damage to the aircraft. The three occupants of the aircraft were not seriously injured. The Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
