Incident at WINNIPEG / JAMES ARMSTRONG RICHARDSON INTL MB (CYWG)

Summary

1996-05-15: Time Air flight 1322, a DeHavilland DHC-8-102 Dash-8 aircraft, departed Winnipeg International Airport at 1249Z on a scheduled passenger flight to Thunder Bay, Ontario. Shortly after departure, there was an unscheduled feathering of the #2 engine propeller. At 1255Z, the pilot advised air traffic control that he was shutting down the #2 engine and was returning to Winnipeg. No emergency was declared. ERS was called out. The aircraft landed without further incident at 1303Z. The occurrence is being investigated.
