Incident at Thompson, Manitoba

Summary

1996-05-15: A Calm Air Hawker-Siddely HS-748 aircraft was on final approach for Thompson on a scheduled passenger flight from Flin Flon when the #1 engine fire warning system activated. The crew shut down and secured the engine, and landed without further incident. After the crew taxied the aircraft to the ramp on the #2 engine, the passengers deplaned by way of the airstairs.
