Incident at GILLAM MB (CYGX) (Incursion - runway - vehicle)
Summary
1996-02-15: A Transport Canada contractor crew had permission and was working on runway 05/23 at Gillam, Manitoba. Thompson Flight Services attempted to contact the crew, but received no response. Flight Services flashed the runway lights to attempt to get the workers' attention. One aircraft on the ground with engines running flashed their landing lights, and still received no response. Another vehicle went onto the runway to escort the vehicle. Canadian Airlines flight 432 was forced to commence a missed approach and was delayed approximately 5 minutes.
