Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ)

Summary

1996-01-17: Aircraft was arriving from Fredericton and overshot runway 24 and advised that he had a gear indication problem. Tower advised that the gear appeared normal. Aircraft landed without incident on runway 33 at 1145Z. ERS responded. UPDATE= When the aircraft was on approach for a landing a complete loss of hydraulic fluid was experienced and a loud noise was heard coming from the ceiling area of rows five and six. As well, the #2 fuel pressure caution light illuminated when the engine power was reduced. Maintenance replaced a fitting and "O" ring on the power transfer unit(PTU), replenished the hydraulic fluid and the system checked serviceable. The #2 high pressure fuel filter was replaced.
