Summary

1996-01-16: Aircraft enroute Frankfurt to Newark at FL350 on track "E" - 60N 30W 1427, 59N 40W 1507, 57N 50W 1548. At 1456 aircraft advised losing oil number 4 engine, may have to descend to FL280. Requested and cleared to turn north off track. Advised of traffic below- FL330 BAW 175 B747 40W 1500 FL310 DAL 21 B767 40W 1508 FL290 KLM 621 B747 40W 1502 At 1513 aircraft advised number 4 engine shutdown and descending to FL280.
