Incident at near Waterville, NS

Summary

1997-11-04: The flight was VFR from Fredericton, N.B. to Waterville, N.S. with the pilot and four passengers on board. The flight strayed off course and was unable to establish contact with Debert airport, in order to have the runway lights turned on once he had re-established his position. He elected to continue on to Waterville but ran out of fuel approximately 4 miles short of destination. A successful forced landing was carried out on Highway 101. The RCMP responded to the scene and after an AME inspected the aircraft and added fuel they blocked the highway and the aircraft departed for Waterville.
