Summary

1997-10-24: Flight enroute to Stephenville, Nfld. from Halifax, N.S. declared emergency due to electrical arcing and smoke at captain's side of windshield. Windshield heat was turned off, smoke and arcing ceased. Aircraft diverted and landed safely at Sydney, N.S. TSB case closed.
