Incident at Gander airspace

Summary

1997-10-08: British Aerospace BAE-125, N236BN Prior to initial VHF radio contact, N236BN was observed on radar descending through FL330 with 12-15 miles separation from IBE 9522. Pilot gave explanation that planned descent was indicated in flight plan and confirmed that no clearance had been received from ATC. TSB case closed.
