Incident at Halifax

Summary

1997-09-26: Air Canada 871 from Charles de Gaulle to Mirabel diverted with one engine out. No assistance required. Duty Manager and ERS in position. Landed safely runway 24 at 1558Z. Maintenance found that the high pressure fuel pump was at fault. The pump was replaced and the engine was ground run and checked serviceable. The failed pump was sent to AC Montreal for investigation.
