Incident at Grand Lake, NFLD

Summary

1997-09-15: The aircraft was on a water take-off roll when the nose case and propeller separated from the left engine (PGW 1830). The crew aborted the take-off and brought the aircraft to a stop without further incident. UPDATE - TSB advises that the problem appears to be a nose case failure. The company will be shipping the nose cone to the TSB for inspection.
