Accident at Southwest Pond, NFLD


1997-08-07: Pilot intended to land on the bank of Southwest Pond but became distracted over glassy water resulting in tail rotor striking the surface of the water. Loss of control and crash into 8 - 10 feet of water ensued. No injuries. TSB evaluating.
