Incident at Halifax

Summary

1997-03-17: ACA 181/DC9 Halifax to Ottawa using runway 24 for departure was told to hold short of runway 15 as part of their Taxi clearance. The aircraft proceeded onto runway 15 while ARN 885/BA46 Halifax to Moncton was spooling up for take-off on runway 33. The ARN 885 take-off clearance was subsequently cancelled and ACA 181 was asked to vacate runway 15. The departing aircraft had not started his take-off role.
