Accident at 3 miles NW Waterville, NS

1997-03-06: While doing circuits and at an altitude of 600', the instructor cut power to simulate an engine failure. When the throttle was advanced at 300' the engine did not respond so a forced landing was carried out in a field. Rather than hit a ditch on rollout, the instructor elected to ground loop. The aircraft came to rest upside down with substantial damage. Minor injuries. TSB evaluating.
