AT 2000z, AIRCRAFT CONTACTED GOOSE RATCON AT 17,OOO FEET WITH 1 ENGINE SHUT DOWN (GOOSE MISUNDERSTOOD AND THOUGHT THAT THERE WERE 3 ENGINES SHUT DOWN)LANDED SAFELY AT GOOSE BAY. GANDER SHIFT MANAGER REPORTS NO TRAFFIC INVOLVED IN DESCENT FROM FL350 TO 17,000. TSB CASE CLOSED.
