Incident at MIDLAND

Summary

1993-08-22: PA28 CHEROKEE C-FDTM - PILOT WAS PRACTICING TOUCH & GO LANDINGS. AFTER THIRD TOUCH & GO, PILOT SELECTED GEAR UP. THE TRANSIT LIGHT REMAINED LIT & ALL OF THE A/C ALL ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT CEASED FUNCTIONING. WHEN PILOT TURNED FINAL, HE SELECTED GEAR DOWN BUT COULD NOT CONFIRM IT. A/C PERFORMANCE INDICATED TO PILOT THAT GEAR WAS DOWN & PILOT DID NOT ATTEMPT TO EXTEND GEAR BY ALTERNATE METHOD. GEAR HAD NOT BEEN LOWERED & A/C SLID TO A STOP ON ITS FUSELAGE. OPS IMPACT UNKNOWN.
