Incident at TORONTO / LESTER B. PEARSON INTL ON (CYYZ)
Summary
1993-07-30: The Canada 3000 Airlines Limited Airbus A-320 aircraft (C-GVXA) encountered severe turbulence that lasted 15-20 seconds. There were no weather radar returns that would indicate any turbulence. The Purser reported to the Captain that two (2) injuries had occurred (a Flight Attendant and a five month pregnant woman). The Captain contacted the company and asked for immediate medical assistance on landing at Toronto (LBPIA) (CYYZ). The flight crew then declared a medical priority in order to expedite arrival at Toronto. TIME - 2115Z. ACTION - PAX TSB IKO-PIA.
