1993-07-06: B737 CDN821 + DC9 ACA669 - CDN821, ENROUTE FROM OTTAWA TO TORONTO AT 22000' DEVIATED SOUTH OF THE STIRLING VOR DUE TO THUNDERSTORMS. ACA669 ENROUTE FROM MONCTON TO TORONTO AT 21500' WAS ALSO DEVIATING DUE TO THUNDERSTORMS. THE CREWS REFUSED TURNS SUGGESTED BY THE SECTOR CONTROLLER & ACA669 PASSED WITH 500' VERTICAL SEPARATION & 2 MILES HORIZONTAL SEPARATION. BOTH CREWS HAD THE OTHER AIRCRAFT IN SIGHT. TIME - 2135Z. ACTION - PAX PAE TSB IKO-PIA.
