Summary

1993-06-27: GLIDER SCHWEIZER 2-33 C-GCLR - ENROUTE FROM NORTH BAY - MOUNTAIN VIEW, A/C WITH GLIDER IN TOW ENCOUNTERED MODERATE TURBULENCE. TOW ROPE BACK RELEASED. GLIDER PILOT SELECTED A FIELD FOR LANDING WHICH THE TOW PILOT CONFIRMED ACCEPTABLE BY FLYING A LOW APPROACH. GLIDER LANDED SAFELY WITH NO INJURY OR DAMAGE. THE TOW A/C LANDED ON THE ROAD. WITH ASSISTANCE FROM A LOCAL FARMER, GLIDER WAS REMOVED TO THE ROAD. FARMER HELD BACK TRAFFIC & THE A/C & GLIDER WERE ABLE TO TAKEOFF. FLIGHT CONTINUED TO MOUNTAIN VIEW WITH NO FURTHER INCIDENT. WX CONDITIONS WERE GOOD THROUGHOUT THE FLIGHT, EXCLUDING THE TURBULENCE. TIME - 1800Z. ACTION - PAH PAR TSB.
