Incident at BUTTONVILLE
Summary
1998-05-20: AC2A AERO-COMMANDER 112 C-GGQX - THE PILOT AND INSTRUCTOR WERE PREPARING TO LEAVE ON A FLIGHT BUT FOUND THE STARTER UNSERVICEABLE. THERE WAS NO AME ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE SO THE PILOT DECIDED TO START THE ENGINE BY SWINGING THE PROP MANUALLY. THE PILOT SWUNG THE PROP BUT THE ENGINE DID NOT START, HOWEVER, THE PROP STRUCK THE PILOT ON THE HEAD AND CAUSED MINOR INJURY. OPS IMPACT - UNKNOWN. TIME = 2250Z. ACTION = PAR, TSB.
