1998-03-05: C172 CESSNA ROCKCLIFFE F C C-GEIJ - A/C WAS ON A VFR FLIGHT FROM TORONTO ISLAND. APPROX 20 NM SOUTHWEST OF HAMILTON, THE PILOT WAS LOST IN WHITEOUT CONDITIONS. THE A/C WAS NOT IFR EQUIPPED, NOR THE PILOT IFR RATED. A/C WAS LOCATED ON RADAR BY TORONTO CENTRE. THE HAMILTON TOWER CONTROLLER TALKED THE A/C IN FOR RWY 06 BASED ON VECTORS BY CENTRE. THE PILOT HAD GROUND CONTACT BUT LESS THAN 1 NM VISIBILITY. A/C LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT AT 2211Z. OPS IMPACT - NONE. TIME = 2200Z. ACTION = PAX, PAP, TSB.
